Welcome to Fringe 2010

What began 20 years ago as a handful of theatre shows at BATS Theatre has grown into a monster! A big, beautiful, sometimes weird and always deliciously creative monster, feeding on the passion of New Zealand's arts community to make three weeks of wonderment every year.
Over those years, bright talent of the ilk of Rhys Darby and Ben Hurley, Strike Percussion and Flight of the Conchords have gone on to international success, while thousands of people have enriched themselves and enthralled audiences by simply giving Fringe a go.
We are delighted Footnote Dance, a company that's been unwaveringly devoted to Fringe for 20 years, is participating in this year's NZIAF.
Footnote follows in the footsteps of other high profile New Zealand dance companies which have participated in the NZIAF. Fringe is proud of its association with the Footnote Dance Company and wishes it well in 2010.
From the staff at Fringe 2010–Zelda, Phil, Mary, Annie and Alison, and the Fringe Arts Trust Board - Miranda, Brooke, Charlotte, Philippa, Tony, Ezra, Alex, and Michael–a big thank you and happy birthday to everyone who has lived and breathed Fringe at some moment for the past 20 years. Viva La Fringe!
Whoops! We made a mistake in this year's Fringe programme. Our reference to Footnote Dance Company's involvement in the New Zealand International Arts Festival (NZIAF) was incorrect. Sorry!
