Who are we?
The Fringe Arts Trust (incorporated 1993) is responsible for staging the annual New Zealand Fringe Festival in Wellington, a much-loved fixture of the arts calendar.
Fringe is recognised as a unique launch pad for the arts in New Zealand. Since 1989 the festival has treated thousands of festivalgoers to the sharpest theatre, dance, comedy, live music, visual arts and multimedia acts, staged in a multitude of venues across Wellington.
Fringe is an open access festival - anyone can produce a show or creative project and become part of this nationally recognised event. Hundreds of volunteers and members of the community donate
their time and resources to help promote and produce the festival each year.
We are proud to be part of the New Zealand arts community, with a strongbrand that is recognised internationally for innovation in art and the spirit of Kiwi ingenuity. We are a charitable organisation
whose creative objective is to provide a supportive and positive platform from which creative ideas can fly!
Your donation will help go towards establishing FRINGE's financial sustainability and to ensure we see our 20th year. Times are tough, we need your help.
